The Overdose Prevention Site (OPS), located at 221 Trunk Road in Duncan, was established in September 2017 as an Emergency Response to the current and ongoing Opioid crisis in British Columbia. The OPS is a staffed supervised injection site where people who use substances are encouraged to use safely, with clean supplies, in a supervised environment with staff trained to respond to and prevent overdose.
The Overdose Prevention Site was established primarily for people who inject illicit substances, however, the OPS also provides harm reduction supplies for people who smoke illicit substances.
Harm Reduction Supplies that can be found at the OPS in Duncan include:

- Sterile cookers
- Alcohold swabs
- Vitamin C Ascorbic Acid
- Straight shooter pipes
- Bubble/Ball Pipes
- Naloxone Kits
At the OPS people who use substances are provided with harm reduction supplies, and Take Home Naloxone Kits if requested. The OPS is open from 1pm-7pm daily, telephone number is 250.597.7779.
