CMHA Cowichan Valley Branch - Sexual Abuse Intervention Program (SAIP)
THE SAIP PROGRAM is located at 552/554 Trunk Road.
The Sexual Abuse Intervention Program meets clients in person, by phone, and/or video. Do not hesitate to call if you need support.
This counselling program is designed for children and youth up to age 19 who have experienced sexual assault and/or abuse. The program also provides services to children up to age 12 with sexually intrusive behaviours. Our goal is to help children, youth, and their families recover from the trauma of sexual abuse.
Children and youth participate in individual counselling sessions, which can include parents/caregivers. Treatment modalities used by the SAIP therapist are individualized to meet the needs of our client. Our therapist works respectfully and collaboratively with the client and their family.
This program is funded by the Ministry of Children and Family Development.
