Founded in 1918, the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) is the most established, most extensive community mental health organization in Canada. Through a presence in more than 330 communities across every province and one territory, CMHA provides advocacy, programs and resources that help to prevent mental health problems and illnesses, support recovery and resilience, and enable all Canadians to flourish and thrive.
Mentally healthy people in a healthy society.
As the nationwide leader and champion for mental health, the CMHA facilitates access to the resources people require to maintain and improve mental health and community integration, build resilience, and support recovery from mental illness.
The Cowichan Valley Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association is on the front-lines working with adult and youth community members suffering the affects of homelessness and substance mis-use. At this time, the need in the community is great. All donations directly support local programs.

Making a donation in memory of or in tribute to a friend or family member is a meaningful way to let others know you care. You can honour someone on a special occasion such as a birthday or anniversary, and show them you care about the issues of mental health.
