CMHA Cowichan Valley Branch - Sexual Abuse Intervention Program (SAIP)

THE SAIP PROGRAM HAS MOVED TO 552/554 Trunk Road.

The Sexual Abuse Intervention Program is open and meeting clients in person, by phone and/or video. Do not hesitate to call if you need support.

This counselling program is designed for children and youth up to age 19 who have experienced sexual assault and/or abuse. The program also provides services to children up to age 12 with sexually intrusive behaviours. Our goal is to help children, youth, and their families recover from the trauma of sexual abuse.

Children and youth participate in individual counselling sessions, which can include parents/caregivers. Treatment modalities used by the SAIP therapist are individualized to meet the needs of our client.  Our therapist, works in a respectful and collaborative manner with the client and their family.

Children, youth, and/or their families may request services on their own initiative or be referred by other community programs or agencies.

This program is funded by the Ministry of Children and Family Development.
