We are very excited to share that the CMHA Cowichan Valley Branch will be participating in Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY). On February 26th, folks in Duncan will join thousands of others in 150+ cities across Canada in The Coldest Night of the Year, a 2 or 5 km family friendly, winter walk in support of people experiencing hunger, hurt, and homelessness in the Cowichan Valley. The event will be held from 4-7pm. Details and routes will be posted soon.
The event is run in partnership with the Blue Sea Foundation (another charity) and funds raised will go to CMHA Cowichan Valley to create a safe space and programs for homeless youth in the Cowichan Valley.
There are a number of sponsorship opportunities available. Please feel free to download a copy of our Sponsorship Proposal. There are also opportunities for community, corporate and family teams to walk and raise money. More details about teams and walking in the brochure. Already signed up? Challenge another group in the community to participate!
CNOY is something special - it’s fun, meaningful, and a little challenging. CMHA Cowichan Valley Branch is also something special, and our work and service in the community are essential. Our CNOY goal is to raise $30,000 with the support of 20+ teams and 200+ walkers.
We need your help to make this happen!
We are recruiting volunteers, team captains and walkers. Perhaps you have a corporate, community, sports or other team that can be easily formed? Or a family team or group of friends that want to support a family member or friend that has struggled with mental health. There are so many options and the potential impact to the community is great.
Please consider joining us by supporting this great event.
